Liquid Helix runs in-person recruiting showcases that bring your high school esports team into direct contact with the college coaches actively recruiting for their rosters. You register the team, your players build their recruiting profiles in our system, and college coaches attend to evaluate and connect with prospects.
A Liquid Helix Recruiting Showcase is a two-day, in-person event where high school esports teams play a scheduled series of matches while college coaches watch from the floor, take notes, and identify players they want to recruit. We anticipate approximately 30 college programs, drawn from Division I, Division II, Division III, and NJCAA programs across the country.
Showcases are not tournaments. There are no elimination brackets, no placement finishes, and no prize pools — the entire format is built around giving college coaches the structured time they need to evaluate players, not around producing a champion. Every registered team is guaranteed a minimum of three matches spread across Saturday and Sunday, which means every player gets meaningful visibility to attending coaches over the course of the weekend.
Games offered at each Showcase include VALORANT, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros. (1v1).

Syracuse University Esports
The first Liquid Helix Recruiting Showcase will be held on the Syracuse University campus in partnership with Syracuse University Esports. Syracuse will serve as the inaugural host partner for our Northeast Showcase on October 3-4, 2026.

Team registration covers your team for the full Showcase weekend and includes everything your players need to compete and be seen.

A Simple Registration Process
How Registration Works
Registration is designed around how high school coaches run their programs — you handle team logistics, your players handle their own recruiting profiles.

Coaches Register the Team
Coaches sign up through the Liquid Helix registration portal, select the game titles their team will compete in, and pay online.

Coaches add the Roster
Once the team is registered, coaches add their player roster in the Liquid Helix system — names and email addresses are all that’s needed at this stage.

Players Complete their own Profiles
Each rostered player receives a link to build out their own recruiting profile — academic information, game history, position, recruiting interest. These profiles are what populate the recruiting binder college coaches use to evaluate players at the event.

Collegiate esports is one of the rapidly-growing scholarship categories in higher education, and college coaches are actively expanding their rosters — but the recruiting infrastructure that traditional sports have relied on for decades doesn’t exist yet in esports. How Liquid Helix Works with the Collegiate Ecosystem
Liquid Helix builds each Showcase in close collaboration with the collegiate esports community. We work directly with universities that host or support Showcases in their region, and we engage with organizations like the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) to ensure our events reflect the standards, expectations, and recruiting workflows that college programs actually use.
This collaborative approach is intentional. A recruiting Showcase only works when it produces real value on both sides — meaningful exposure for high school players and their programs, and a genuinely useful scouting environment for college coaches. By working closely with the collegiate side of esports from the start, we’re building Showcases that colleges want to attend and high school programs want to send their teams to.
Our inaugural Showcase in Syracuse, New York works closely with the Syracuse University Esports Program. Future Showcases will engage similar university and organizational relationships in each region.
